about

The follow up to 'Rock Section'. A tequila soaked celebration of the return of Jim Morrison, who had not actually died, but had faked his own death and now lived a Howard Hughes stye life in the wealthy part of our town. Every day we would see him make the journey from The Park to Rock City and back, some days he would be 'cleaned up' but would soon revert to his 'gentleman of the road' look. It was rumoured that he was very wealthy and that this was all a pretence as a barrier to anyone finding out who he really was. Another Fuzztone's classic from the 'Rise and Fall of the Sound of Music' sessions. Big Jake

lyrics

A year’s passed now
Since he come to town
Long black hair and a
Beard hanging down
He liked it so much
He decided to stick around

Jim Morrison’s in town
Jim Morrison’s in town
Jim Morrison’s in town
Jim Morrison’s in town

All the clothes he had
Were rags
Some people said
That he was mad
But to us he was
The King
But we never
Heard him sing

Jim Morrison’s in town
Jim Morrison’s in town
Jim Morrison’s in town
Jim Morrison’s in town

All through the winter
He would show
Round and round the town
He would go
Though his shoes
They had no soles
In the bitter rain
And snow

Jim Morrison’s in town
Jim Morrison’s in town
Jim Morrison’s in town
Jim Morrison’s in town
