Rock Section (Séance Version)

by One Million Fuzztone Guitars / Skin Patrol

about

The Legend of Rock Section (Seance Version), originally entitled 'Send Me A Letter', with the original lyrics from the Jim Morrison séance, which started off with him saying he was murdered by the music industry (the song Target) then asked for me to send this to a friend of his in the US called Big Jake, of course this came back "return to sender" as Big Jake was a character John Wayne played, it then took on a life of it's own "a gigantic hoax" which culminated in us meeting Cliff Richards at the crossroads one morning, this is the original lyrics version from the letter that was only opened after the Dayglo Maradona version came out. Every time I approach it, it becomes something else.

"A killer version of Rock Section. Nicely done. Great rhythms, too!"

"Sinister, gangster trance-rock in honour of Amon Ra!"

"It leaves the Happy Mondays gasping for air, and shows what the rest of the 90s could (should) have been..".

"Waking-the-dead never sounded so glamorous."

"And milk-on-skin never sounded so sexy."

lyrics

Write me a letter
To a friend of mine
Send him your name
You will get a reply

A Weekend slaughter
Rock and roll is what we’re killing
Amun-Ra
Rock Section

L.A. N.A. L
Give up your kicks
Wake up the dead
In Time

I will kill you
Time now for us for fun
If you are joking
You are not my friend
You are damned

L.A. N.A. L
Give up your kicks
Wake up the dead
In Time

Kill him like
Milk on Skin
Me kill hip
Don’t like him
